Historic Third Ward
Grace Matthews is located in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward, a neighborhood listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and located just off Milwaukee's lakefront and Summerfest Festival Grounds. The Third Ward is a turn-of-the-century warehouse district that over the past decade has undergone a Renaissance, and is now home to a lively mixture of specialty shops and boutiques, theatres and restaurants, and professional and creative businesses.

From the South (Chicago and Milwaukee Airport)

Take I-43 North/I-94 West and get into one of the two right lanes (expressway forks ahead) after you past the exit for General Mitchell Airport. Stay in the right lane(s) on I-94 and proceed toward Downtown. Merge onto the I-794 East (Exit 310C). Take the Jackson St./Van Buren St. exit (Exit 1E), on the left, to Jackson Street South. Turn right onto E. St. Paul Ave. Turn left onto Milwaukee St. We are in the Phoenix Building, which is on the west/right side of the street, about 2-1/2 blocks down directly across from the Historic Third Ward parking structure. Feel free to park in the structure and bring us your ticket -- we will validate your ticket so that there is no charge for parking.

 

 

From the West (Madison)

Take I-94 East to I-794-East. Stay in left lane once you pass Miller Park. Take the Jackson St./Van Buren St. exit (Exit 1E), on the left, to Jackson Street South. Turn right onto E. St. Paul Ave. Turn left onto Milwaukee St. We are in the Phoenix Building, which is on the west/right side of the street, about 2-1/2 blocks down directly across from the Historic Third Ward parking structure. Feel free to park in the structure and bring us your ticket -- we will validate your ticket so that there is no charge for parking.

 

 

From the North (Green Bay/Sheboygan)

Take I-43 South towards Milwaukee. Merge onto I-794 East via Exit 72A on the left toward the lakefront. Take the Jackson St./Van Buren St. exit (Exit 1E), on the left, to Jackson Street South. Turn right onto E. St. Paul Ave. Turn left onto Milwaukee St. We are in the Phoenix Building, which is on the west/right side of the street, about 2-1/2 blocks down directly across from the Historic Third Ward parking structure.
