John L. Beagle - Managing Director
John L. Beagle, a co-founder of Grace Matthews, has advised clients on corporate finance matters including business sales, mergers, acquisitions and financings since 1991. John has been the principal investment banker on over 100 engagements, and has advised clients in a variety of industries including chemicals, coatings, consumer products, retail, software, materials, and a variety of other manufacturing and service industries. His clients include privately held corporations, private equity groups and large, multinational corporations.
Prior to his investment banking career, John was a research engineer in Digital Equipment Corporation's Advanced Semiconductor Development group (Hudson, MA), which was subsequently acquired by Intel. John was part of the R&D effort at Digital that developed the patented Alpha chip technology, which at the time was the fastest commercially available microprocessor ever engineered. John received his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and his M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management, both at Cornell University.
John has served as a director for PKWARE, Inc., Northern Labs, Inc., the Cornell Club of Wisconsin, and the Girl Scouts of Milwaukee. He is a member of the Commercial Development and Marketing Association and the American Chemical Society, and has served as an advisor to the Czech Ore Research Institute (Prague, Czech Republic) on technology transfer issues
