HD Supply White Cap Construction Supply
Acquires GSI General Materials LLC

HD Supply White Cap Construction Supply, a business of HD Supply, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire GSI General Materials LLC. GSI General Materials is a distributor of concrete accessories, forming systems and fabricated rebar. Established in 1971, GSI operates two North Carolina facilities and two South Carolina locations, and employs 72 associates.

HD Supply White Cap Construction Supply is the construction supply business unit within The Home Depot's HD Supply Division, a leading distributor of specialty hardware, tools and materials targeting construction contractors.

With the addition of GSI General Materials, HD Supply White Cap Construction Supply will operate 160 branches in 27 states. This new relationship will allow HD Supply White Cap Construction Supply to leverage GSI General Materials' strong customer relationships, talented associates and operational excellence to strengthen its ability to serve professional customers throughout North and South Carolina.

HD Supply White Cap Construction Supply is a business of HD Supply, which provides professional customers with superior products, support and services for the entire project lifecycle, from infrastructure to construction to lifetime maintenance, repair and remodel. With nearly 1,000 locations and more than 26,000 associates, HD Supply is one of the largest diversified wholesale distributors in North America.

The deal closed on February 26, 2007. Terms were not disclosed.
